Alpenzoo Innsbruck The Adventure Map
A custom-designed adventure quest map created for Alpenzoo Innsbruck by our design and web design team.
An engaging mix of orientation, storytelling, and educational discovery for visitors of all ages.
Project Overview
The Adventure Quest map for Alpenzoo Innsbruck was created by our design and web design team.
For the story of the quest, we developed an original character: Ranger Tony — a zoo ranger who takes care of the animals and knows all the hidden secrets, legends, and mysterious corners of Alpenzoo.
This unique storytelling layer gave the project a memorable identity and helped turn a simple visitor map into an immersive adventure experience.
Designed for Easy Navigation
The entire zoo landscape, including the locations of animal enclosures and pathways, was carefully recreated on the map to make orientation easy and intuitive for visitors.
All quest stations are clearly marked, allowing players to comfortably navigate through the zoo while discovering new areas and attractions along the way.
Three Difficulty Levels
The map was developed in both German and English and designed with three difficulty levels so that different age groups and visitor types could enjoy the experience in their own way.
Family-friendly quests for children approximately 4–9 years old.
Recommended for visitors aged 9+ and families looking for a more advanced experience.
Special challenge mode tasks designed for the most curious and adventurous players.
Entertainment Meets Education
To combine entertainment with education, each station also includes a special Ranger Tony Fact — an interesting and engaging fact about the animals, the zoo, or alpine wildlife.
This educational storytelling approach transforms the quest into both an adventure and a learning experience.
Aligned with Alpenzoo’s Visual Identity
To preserve the visual identity of Alpenzoo, we incorporated the zoo’s branding elements, logo, and typography directly into the map design.
The result is a branded adventure map that feels fully integrated into the Alpenzoo visitor experience.
